Thus, you miss out on all the red bricks and other treasures from that level.Saving: you have to play for a VERY long time until you can save. But there are some issues: namely, things don't line up like they should. It's not that fun after about 5 levels of this. The controls are often slow and innacurate in response.
I'm very surprised by all the positive reviews for Lego Indiana Jones. I mean, like hours. Also, if you move too far forward on a screen, you often get sucked into a new cutscene, and you are taken to another screen, or blocked in some way from going back. I found this to be a very mediocre game, with many poor design choices.Graphics: The cutscenes are horribly lo-fi and pixelated.
This is the only DS game I own where I have to push a button multiple times just to get the action to take place once.Gameplay: very little thought needed - you simply smash every object you run across. Why.Story: the screens loosely follow some scenes from the movies, but on the whole I was not left with the feeling that I had just walked in Indy's shoes through the movies.Summary: I am disappointed, and I will be trading this in. During game play, they are just ok - nothing amazing. It's very easy to fall off of things, miss jumps, etc.
You could have so much fun playing Indiana Jones and as a bunch of lego blocks no less. I picked it up and finished it a few days later. Which is basically you running through the level again. It's at least 60 characters that you can unlock and while some are the same character with different customes.
Plus the price at 19.99 is rare in this day and age of video game prices. While the overall length of the game leaves a little bit to be desired. The graphics are pretty solid for a DS game and didn't encounter any bugs(others may have) or other issues while playing. Lego Indiana Jones warrants an inclusion into your gaming library and once you buy the game. It is something that anyone looking for a fun and engaging game to play should pick up. You are able as you progress through the game to pick up and play as other characters in Free Play mode.
It doesn't detract at all from the game as a whole. You'll really enjoy it. But having access to characters that you've unlocked throughout the game. It is still very cool to have that option if you so choose. The game itself is very fun and can be played by just about any age group.
This one is a little easier than Legos Star Wars. My son saved his money to buy his own DS, and I agreed to buy two games. This was one of them.
Less destructible and much more portable. My girls had the play station version and they loved it. And my girls are thrilled to have the game back and able to play it without scratches. They can take it in the car and their rooms etc without a problem that the play station does not go.I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. Unfortunately when you have special needs children dvd's and cd's do not last long before they become scratched and eventually unusable. I was going to replace their game when I saw this version, the same game only for the DS which they do have.
It is really cute it follow the story line of the movies. My son (6) is haveing so much fun with this game.
